Mr. Baldwin is the Founding Partner and Head of International Dispute Resolution at Alliance Law Partners LLP, where he guides clients through the most complex cross-border disputes with strategic insight and a practical, results-driven approach. With more than two decades of experience at some of the world's leading law firms, Mr. Baldwin brings a global perspective and a depth of knowledge that few practitioners can match.

Mr. Baldwin represents multinational corporations, sovereign governments, and investors in investor-state proceedings before ICSID and other institutions, as well as in ad hoc proceedings and commercial arbitrations before the ICC and other leading forums. He also advises clients on International Court of Justice proceedings, drafts pleadings for the Court, and counsels on international transactions and banking matters. His practice extends to litigation and the enforcement of arbitration awards and judgments, ensuring that clients not only prevail but also realize the full value of their victories.

Before joining Alliance Law Partners, Mr. Baldwin served as a Partner at Steptoe & Johnson and Baker & McKenzie, and earlier as a Senior Associate at Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy. Throughout his career, he has represented sovereign states in high-stakes matters, including the defense of an ICSID arbitration and the defense of an arbitration award before a federal appeals court in New York. He has also advised clients on U.S. sanctions and compliance, FCPA matters, sovereign immunity, and structuring investments to secure protection under investment treaties and political risk insurance.

A recognized thought leader in the field, Mr. Baldwin is the author of Enforcement of ICSID Arbitration Awards and Related Defenses (Brill Publishing) and Transnational Law of Renewable Energy (Oxford University Press). He has written widely on investment treaties, due process, and evidence in international arbitration, and is a frequent speaker and moderator at leading forums, including the ICC, Harvard Law School, the American Society of International Law, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
